I’m a versatile digital content leader with 20+ years of experience building high performing teams, crafting successful content strategies, and creating impactful content for businesses and consumers. My work has helped grow audiences of millions, won accolades, and generated millions of dollars of revenue and earned media value.
Over the course of my professional career, I’ve had the privilege to work with and learn from a number of esteemed global brands. I’ve held senior-level roles leading large strategic and executional content teams at Nike, Rent, Sundae, and Demand Media (now Leaf Group).
While at Razorfish and as an independent consultant, I’ve guided content strategy projects for industry giants such as UPS, AT&T, Intel, CarMax, Bridgestone, as well as a slew of startups, non-profits, and smaller companies.
Beyond the brand marketing arena, I’ve also worked alongside high-profile publishers—including properties owned by Hearst, Gannett, InterActive Corp, and National Geographic—bringing stories to life through diverse platforms and media.
This work has provided me an opportunity to do what I love most—work collaboratively with creative and business teams to tell stories, answer questions, and engage target audiences across digital channels. The act of managing multiple angles of a content project and having an instrumental voice on the ideas, visuals, data, technology, and strategic goals is the most satisfying aspect of what I do for a living. Often, it’s the teamwork, planning, and behind-the-scenes work that has the most profound impact.
My experience has given me a front-row seat to some of the most momentous changes in the world of digital information over the past two-plus decades. From the ascent of SEO and social media to the influence of big data and emergence of AI, I’ve seen a lot of action in the content world, and I have the scars and stories to prove it.
While my work has spanned just about every kind of content challenge, I’m best known for being versatile, easy to work with, and willing to wear a lot of hats. My specialties include building content strategies, content marketing (“content-led growth”), copywriting, editing, managing editorial teams, video production, SEO, and social media strategy.
When I'm not working on content projects (for money), you can usually find me hanging with my wife and two kids, fly fishing, watching sports, quoting movies, writing fictional stories, collecting comic books, or opining on how to solve the problems of the world.
